Brené Brown Ph.D., LMSW, is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Her books include: The Gifts of Imperfection, I Thought It Was Just Me, and her new book, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent and Lead.

Her 2010 TEDx Houston talk on the power of vulnerability is one of the most watched talks on TED.com, with over 6 million views. She gave the closing talk, Listening to Shame, at the 2012 TED Conference in Long Beach.

Joe Graedon is a pharmacologist who has dedicated his career to making drug information understandable to consumers. His best-selling book, The People’s Pharmacy, was published in 1976 and led to a syndicated newspaper column, syndicated public radio show and web site. In 2006, Long Island University awarded him an honorary doctorate as “one of the country's leading drug experts for the consumer.” .

I really appreciated this discussion. I think the guest was spot-on.

Loved what she was saying. Put a different choice of words to another book I’m reading called Comfortable with Uncertainty by Pema Chodron. Had to hear her interview again so listened again on-line.
