Men's MoM (Milk of Magnesia) Aluminum-Free Roll-on Deodorant

MOM works great in keeping the pit and body odors in check especially here in the South Florida heat. Any product with Aluminum in it makes me itch terribly..

The Reality Check: I am one of those people who must wear deodorant. If I don’t, I will start smelling within an hour of showering, even if I am just sitting on the couch. I spent months testing 9 aluminum-free brands in a professional office setting with 10k steps a day to find out which ones actually hold up and which ones are just a greasy mess.
The Heavy Hitters (Top Tier)
• Shwally Zinc and Charcoal: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Performance: The absolute gold standard for odor. This is the only one that gave me 24+ hours of protection.
Experience: Since it is tallow-based, it feels grease-heavy when you first apply it, but it dries up shortly after. Even though it contains a form of baking soda, I had zero irritation.
• The People’s Pharmacy MOM (Milk of Magnesia) Roll-on: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Performance: 12+ hours of solid protection with zero irritation.
Experience: This was a huge surprise. It is completely non-greasy and dries quickly, leaving a subtle white dry residue (like baby powder) that feels very clean. The fragrance-free version is great, and the scented one is subtle.
The Catch: Not widely available; you usually have to buy directly from their site, so shipping and handling fees will add to the cost.
High Performance (4 Stars)
• Salt and Stone (Bergamot and Hinoki): ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Performance: 12+ hours. The scent is the best of all products tested, but it is not subtle; it is strong and it will cling to your clothes all day.
Experience: Very effective, but the grease feeling is real and the baking soda eventually caused significant redness for me. Excellent customer service though; they sent a sensitive version for free.
• Gymati Fitness Spray: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Performance: 8+ hours of protection.
Experience: A sporty scent that replaces the need for cologne. It is a quick-dry spray with no grease or stains.
The Catch: Because it is a spray, it has the tallest container of the bunch. It takes up more space in a gym bag or desk drawer.
The Middle Ground
• Kokoa Botanics: ⭐⭐⭐
Performance: 8+ hours.
Experience: This was the only plastic-free container I tested. However, it is very temperature dependent; if it is not warm enough, it crumbles in your armpit. The sweet scent transfers to your shirt and intensifies the longer you wear it.
The Catch: Not widely available besides directly from their website, so shipping and handling will add to the cost.
• Salt and Stone (Sensitive): ⭐⭐⭐
Performance: 6+ hours.
Experience: Solved the irritation but the protection dropped. It feels grease-heavy on application and does not dry fast enough before putting a shirt on. Scent is more subtle than the original formula.
The Low-Protection Group
• Clearly FRESH Magnesium Roll-On: ⭐⭐
Experience: Initial protection decreases quickly through time. After 6 hours, it is like not having any deodorant on at all. It is not greasy and dries quickly, but it just doesn’t last.
• Kopari and Crystal Magnesium: ⭐⭐
Experience: Both smelled nice but were very greasy. They transferred all over my shirts and only lasted about 6 hours before the odor broke through.
Final Verdict for the High-Odor Individual:
1. Best Overall Protection: Shwally (for the 24hr protection)
2. Best Scent: Salt and Stone (Original)
3. Best Budget and Feel: People’s Pharmacy MOM (for the dry, baby-powder finish)
4. Best Spray: Gymati (if you have the extra room in your bag)

I really like this product. It works very well and does not contain anything harmful. What I have found makes it most effective is to run my hair dryer over my armpits right after applying the product, so that it dries in each armpit before I put on a shirt. Otherwise the shirt might soak up some of the liquid.

I like the product but I don’t like the roller. I bought bottles that would not roll. I have one large and two small in the past that would not work.

MOM deodorant is the best I’ve ever used. Most deodorants irritate my skin causing itching and burning, not to mention the buildup on your shirts at times. Not anymore! I have used MOM for Men deodorant for over one year now and it is by far, the best deodorant there is. It has a pleasant but not overpowering scent and lasts all day long. I highly recommend MOM to everyone!

Seems to work ok. For the man’s product I would add a bit more masculine aroma to it. Also, please add an ingredient added to make it dry a bit faster. Thx!

It is a good product that works well indoors. I lie in Florida, and when I cut the lawn for 45 minuets I become very sweaty and smelly. I love it for all other times.

Not long-lasting for me. Only works for about a day after a morning shower, and I don’t perspire too much during the day. I did like the fragrance of the Men’s MoM, as long as it lasted.

I’ve been using this deodorant for decades, unscented, women’s scent and the scented for men. My preference is scented for men! It effectively controls body odour without artificial or harmful ingredients.

I was skeptical. I’ve had heavy underarm perspiration all my life. I’ve tried all sorts of antiperspirants, even prescription ones. They were all aluminum based and they just didn’t work. I read about these magnesium based antiperspirants, where others said they got relief. So, I decided to order a sampler from People’s Pharmacy and give it a try. The results are great! I’ve been using it for over a year and won’t go back. Highly recommended!

This product really works. I’ve used aluminum deodorants for years and often had to apply them several times a day. Once a day is all that’s needed for the Men’s MoM.
It’s the only deodorant that I use now.

I have been using MOM deodorant for two or three years and am highly pleased with it. It is as good as any deodorant I have used to control wetness and odor, and the great thing about it is that it contains no Aluminum Products. I have used both the unscented and the men’s scented and have settled on the latter for my needs. Also, I have recommended this to a couple of friends, and they are highly pleased also.

My husband and I liked the scent and efficacy, although at first he thought it made his armpits too dry!
