baby with measles rash

There are half a dozen measles outbreaks currently underway in the US, as well as several serious international outbreaks. Consequently, the news on measles vaccine from Denmark is important. Scientists conducting an extremely large study found no evidence of a link between measles vaccine and autism.

How Was This Study Conducted?

The nationwide study included everyone born between 1999 and 2010 (Hviid et al, Annals of Internal Medicine, March 5, 2019). More than 650,000 children fell into that group. As a result, the study covered more than 5 million person-years of follow-up.

The Danish health system keeps excellent records on all its citizens, including the children. Therefore the scientists are confident that they identified all the children diagnosed with autism during the study period. There were 6,517 children who developed this condition.

Why Did Investigators Decide There Is No Link Between Measles Vaccine and Autism?

Children who did not receive the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine, or MMR, were equally as likely as vaccinated children to develop autism. If there were a link of any sort, vaccinated children would have been more likely to get such a diagnosis. That did not happen in Denmark. The scientists examined the data closely. They wanted to know whether there was any association between measles vaccine and autism among high-risk children. Even youngsters with an autistic sibling were no more likely to develop autism after vaccination.

The investigators conclude:

“The study strongly supports that MMR vaccination does not increase the risk for autism, does not trigger autism in susceptible children, and is not associated with clustering of autism cases after vaccination.”

Previous studies have also failed to turn up a link between measles vaccine and autism (Jain et al, JAMA, April 21, 2015; Fombonne & Chakrabarti, Pediatrics, Oct. 2001; Fombonne et al, Pediatrics, July 2006).

I think Holly in Seattle is BRILLIANT!!! I have long thought that individual vaccines are fine … but the chemical soup that is created when they are all given together is the problem … I convinced my grown children to have my grandchildren vaccinated over a period of weeks to avoid mixing all of the vaccines together … the MMR vaccine has been given for years with few if any problems … but who knows what happens to the “mix” when you add all of those other vaccines to them … none of my 6 grandchildren has autism … THANK GOD! I don’t know if my theory is correct but it couldn’t have hurt … BTW my son asked the doctor why all the shots were usually given together … he was told that they were done that way because the doctor was concerned that the parents would not have the patience to return for the additional vaccinations … my son said he would cheerfully return as scheduled by the doctor …

Having some knowledge of vaccine harm I’m very skeptical of the timing and results here. Merck has a track record of “side effects” with all their products, the latest being the Gardasil controversy.

The MMR vaccine and all the other vaccines don’t cause autism, people. Do your own due diligence and RESEARCH IF YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD! People are spreading communicable diseases which were nearly eradicated because of their ignorance. I have a 26-yr old who got all his shots in the early 90s and now having another child, who is now 1, I did hours of research and have been vaccinating my youngest. We chose to spread out the vaccines to allow the body’s immune response to not get overloaded and to lessen adverse reactions. But in my research, which I also wrote a paper on, there are NO KNOWN OR PROVEN LINKS TO AUTISM AND VACCINES!! Wake up, and vaccinate!

This study of children in Denmark begs the question of whether vaccines in the US are contaminated by glyphosate and other pesticides and herbicides heavily used in the US. The FDA will not ban toxins from use in the U.S., but the European Union does. Would an equivalent study in the U.S. have the same results?

Just a few additional facts to keep in mind:

    1 –
“Dr. Richard Horton, the current editor-in-chief of the Lancet, considered to be one of the most well respected peer-reviewed medical journals in the world.
Dr. Horton recently published a statement declaring that a lot of published research is in fact unreliable at best, if not completely false.’

Dr. Horton estimates that about half of the published medical research is false for various reasons including conflicts of interest.

2 – A small number of the adverse vaccine reactions are actually reported, perhaps less than 10%. “Proposed Changes Restrict Vaccine Reaction Reporting”

3 – Vaccine manufacturers will not provide vaccines without complete immunity to litigation.

4 – It’s very difficult to prove damages from vaccines, however the US government has paid over US$4 billion to victims and their families for injuries, including death, from vaccines.

5 – There are individuals who have been seriously harmed and others killed by vaccines. There is no way to predict who will be harmed in advance of the vaccination.

6 – The follow up periods of the studies are short which leaves the long term effects still in unproven. For example, soldiers during the Vietnam War who were exposed to Agent Orange seemed perfectly healthy for many years, but developed much higher rates of cancer 30-40-50 years later.

7 – Autism is only one health issue. There are many possible adverse reactions from vaccines. For example:
“The California-based nonprofit organization, Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC), recently reported in The BMJ that every year about 5,700 U.S. children suffer seizures from the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine.

This finding is derived from results of the most statistically powered safety study ever to measure the association between MMR vaccination and febrile seizures. More than half a million children were evaluated, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, from a Danish population that is relied upon globally to examine vaccine safety.”

8 – There are huge profits to be made from vaccines which are mandated for the entire population and which are litigation exempt. Financial incentives have been known to sway researchers in some cases. On the other side, there is no money to be made, and even ridicule and condemnation for those questioning vaccine safety.

Vaccination should be a personal choice and no medical procedure should be forced on members of a free society against their will.

It is not just autism with vaccines. The aluminum injected when someone gets 4-8 vaccines at one time might accumulate in the body rather than being excreted so it is less toxic. It is a neurotoxin.

Of the vaccine ingredients I looked at, ALL were mostly toxins. Who knows how they can mess with the body and mind?

Please read the whole ingredient list before deciding whether to get it (them) or not. There might be a less toxic option.

“Children who did not receive the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine, or MMR, were equally as likely as vaccinated children to develop autism.”

But did they receive other vaccines? Answering that question would give us a basis for judging the design of the study and its outcome.

  8. Mike

If its accurate, good study. Be interesting to know WHO funded the study and what groups have looked at the data to verify its legit. This article title is a bit misleading, this study was for 1 vaccine MMR, of which there are many others. The DPT vaccine is the one theorized to be linked to various brain injuries.

  9. Jane

Sadly, because this research comes from outside the US, I am MORE inclined to believe it. I have almost no faith in pharmacy funded testing done here.

  10. Gerri

Do we know the actual age of the recipient or the dosage or how many doses.? Is it exactly the same vaccine that is given in the US? What is their rate of autism diagnoses and what is the basis of The diagnosis and who is making it? Too many unanswered questions!

  11. Melynda

I believe that unless the vaccine used by everyone has the same ingredients, in each country, the results would not be consistent. The gathering of information would only be reliable, if the ingredients are identical.
