5I like the product and use it all the time. hHowever I got one that was completely dried up. I took it apart because it did not work, and there was a thick paste inside. I could not return it at this point, so I tried to find a way to let them know and was unable to do so. I hope they check these reviews so they know. I am sure it was a one-off, and I don’t really care about the money. My previous antiperspirant gave me a rash so I was very happy to find this milder deodorant which works for me.

5Okay, for years I raved about this product and gave it to people for gifts.
I had two orders where I was not able to make use of the product as I had before. Since I order in large quantities it was very difficult and expensive. The first problem batch was excessively watery. The second was horrible because the rollers would get stuck, and no matter what I did it would not dispense correctly and painfully get stuck on my skin.
Too bad! It’s a great product I cannot afford to order given these problems. Always frustrating in the past to see a sale but not have the bigger bottles available often.

5I have been using MoM deodorant for several years, and I would never go back to using any other kind. This works for me, and I know I won’t be exposed to aluminum when I use it. One of the reviewers asked if this product leaves an after-odor. It does not. I can only detect a very slight but pleasant odor, which is another reason I like it!

5After a shower, I apply the product and then use my hair dryer ON THE COOL SETTING, aiming it at each armpit area, and it effectively dries it enough so I can get dressed sooner. It’s such a habit now that I reach for the hair dryer even when I didn’t wash my hair.

5This is not a review but a question. Most of the magnesium-based deodorants I’ve smelled or tried have a slightly foul magnesium after-odor that I find nauseating. I’m currently using one that doesn’t (but has other issues) so I know it’s possible for that to not be the case. If users leaving future reviews can please comment on whether this deo has that issue or not, I would appreciate it! Will check back periodically. Thanks!!

5I have used MoM for years. It keeps my underarms sweet all day long, and my skin never itches. I do have to be careful getting dressed if the deodorant hasn’t dried yet, as it may leave white streaks on my T-shirts. A very minor issue! The streaks wash out and my armpits continue to be happy.

3I have used non-aluminum deodorant for 45 years due to itching from anti-perspirants, and I’m always interested in trying a new one. This one seems to work, although I haven’t had the opportunity to use it in hot humid weather. However, it does not dry clear. It shows up as a whitish mark after drying which is a definite problem if you wear anything sleeveless or if you are at all sloppy in your application. I will not be continuing with this product.

4So far so good. I was surprisingly impressed at how good this Aluminum-free MOM roll-on deodorant is. Everything I’ve tried makes me break out under my arms and is uncomfortable. I am practically break-out free since using this product. It also blocks all odor from sweating. The only downside for me is the fact that it does turn all the underarm pores of my skin white, making it look like tiny white polka dots. I wish they could make it so that it dries colorless. I’m also not a big fan or wet roll-on types of deodorants, but I intend to stick with MOM until I’ve used it all up, and see how it goes.

5I was desperate for a deodorant that was free of sunflower and coconut due to allergies. This is the most amazing product. I don’t smell and it has not irritated my skin! It does need to dry before you put clothing on or you will get white marks, but that’s a small price to pay for such a great working product. 5I decided to try this product because I wanted a product without aluminum. I’m not a big sweater but if I forget to use my antiperspirant,!my underarms stink after a few hours. I’ve washed them in the sink at work a few times because I could smell myself!
With this product I don’t stink at all. In fact I think it works better than my antiperspirant does for odor. At first I thought it would dry white but I was using too much.

5I read in the People’s Pharmacy that some people have a reaction to deodorants tha causes both itchiness and an odd odor. That was ME! They suggested Mike of Magnesia. Ian the past, I had tried probably 20 different deodorants to find one that didn’t give me an offensive off odor. I’ve been using Milk of Magnesia out of the bottle for over a year now with NO odor and no itchiness. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am! It does leave me a little wetter than some, but it takes just a minute to dry. I bought a bottle of MoM for travel and use it often for convenience. My dad died of Alzheimer’s so I plan to buy bottles for my kids and sister too. Why take a chance?

5I have gone through one bottle which lasted 3 months. I use it most days and it seems to work ALMOST as good a aluminum products. I do keep the aluminum around for those have-to social+high exercise days but they are few and far between. Have also tried just rubbing Milk of M out of the bottle and it works fine too. This is just more convenient and I see there are some stabilizers in there to keep it liquid and rolling and such. Overall a great product without all the nasty affects of the harsh aluminum deodorants (which, I find among other things, cause me to get skin tags and general underarm itching/discomfort- which this product does not). Be mindful to check other “natural” products carefully – one I was using that claimed to be “all natural” hid the aluminum content in with another name – “alcloxa” – which is just an Aluminum salt.

4I love this deodorant and find it really works to eliminate underarm odor. I don’t find it pricey, esp compared to the tens of “natural” deodorants I tried in an effort to find something that actually worked. My only complaint is that it leaves white residue on clothing — my solution is to apply less, rub it in, and wait a few minutes before getting dressed. The residue easily washes out, but on dry-clean-only clothing, it’s a little annoying. In the end, it’s worth it to finally find something that actually works.

5I had given up deodorants, because I didn’t want the chemicals and couldn’t stand the fragrances. My chiropractor recommended against the crystal kind, so I just washed a lot, like in the middle of the day too.
As life got more stressful, caring for my elderly parents, I had to use something, or I would stink, so I gave MOM to try. At first I didn’t like that it rolled on wet, and I had to learn not to put too much on. But as I got used to using a roll-on, I have come to LOVE this product! 5I use Milk of Magnesia daily, because it works perfectly, as no commercial deodorant ever has for me.
However, I use it straight out of the bottle, simply by shaking the bottle well, removing the screw cap, placing a square cosmetic-remover pad over its top, turning the bottle upside down and applying the coated pad under the arms, which dry immediately. With this simple method there is no need to buy roller bottles, and the cost of the disposable cosmetic pads is minimal.
Bonus: Recently I had a constant itch on my hand. Before I discarded the used pad each day, I rubbed it on my hand and after a few days the itch stopped.

5All the positive reviews here made me a little suspicious–were the bad reviews removed somehow?–but it turns out they’re accurate. This is the only aluminum-free, natural deodorant I’ve ever used that not only deodorizes without having to be reapplied but also keeps you dry. And the unscented is unscented. You do have to wait a moment after applying for it to dry, but that’s a small inconvenience for something that really does work. I also find the bottle to be attractively no-nonsense.

5This stuff really works as a deodorant at controlling odors and is really convenient by just ordering it on-line. It is too pricy though and I think the price could be lowered a couple of dollars. I had a problem with one on the roller balls freezing up and not turning, but People’s Pharmacy sent me out a new one promptly, which was very nice.

5On the days I need deodorant, I apply this original, fragrance-free MoM roll-on deodorant. I have MCS and react to synthetic fragrances, so that rules out most mainstream products for me. 4I’d been using the crystal rock deodorant until I learned it was nothing but pure aluminum salts, which really upset me. The internet led me to milk of magnesia and then here to the People’s Pharmacy. I’ve tried all three “flavors” of the MoM deodorant and prefer the unscented, which amazingly, works just as well, if not better, than the crystal. My only complaint (4 stars instead of 5) is that the milk of magnesia leaves a white residue on black or navy sleeveless items. I have learned to apply less and then rub it in, minimizing the effect. I will continue to purchase and use this deodorant for as long as you make it! Thank you!

4I find the roll on isn’t as effective as Isopropyl Alcohol and MOM as a deodorant which I have using for over 3 years. However, I ordered the roll on as there are some situations ( ie gym…) when I prefer it’s convenience. I like having it as an alternative and especially appreciate that it is unscented.

5I am unable to use “normal” deodorants as they lead to severe irritation which makes any activity that makes me sweat like a torture session. I had been using salt crystal deodorant for years because surprisingly it’s the only deodorant that caused no irritation. Of course they are aluminum salt based. A friend mentioned this deodorant to me almost a year ago after using it for a couple months. I have been using nothing else since. Even when I’m out doing yard work or exercising this stuff really works. I am still shocked by its effectiveness when the sweat is pouring out. I’d have to reapply the salt crystal deodorant a few times a day and it was useless if I was sweating at all. I put the MoM deodorant on once. I have absolutely no irritation, ever, and it does not stain my shirts. I was worried about that since it’s white and not clear. This is simply the best deodorant ever. I highly recommend it to anyone that has sensitive armpits. And just because I was curious, I have found it’s also amazing for foot odor (if you use the roll-on on your feet I recommend dedicating that bottle to your feet or roll on hand then apply) and is also good for, ahem, “downstairs” if you need a bit of freshness there too (see note above about dedicating bottle to that specific use). 4I am a breast cancer patient and had been using another brand of aluminum free deodorant during radiation. After reading the article posted on January 11, 2016, Should Breast Cancer Patients Avoid Aluminum Antiperspirants? I decided to continue using the aluminum free. I ordered the MOM roll on and have been pleased with the results.
It takes a minute to dry but I have had no issues with staining of my clothes. I like that it is unscented. It has controlled odor; granted this is February, so I reserve my full endorsement until I test it in the humid eastern NC summer! My husband began using it after getting a rash from a “men’s deodorant”. He says it works for him and the rash has cleared.

3I am just one week into using this product. My main goal was to avoid using a product with aluminum in it, which MOM fulfills. So far, it appears to be successful at keeping bad underarm odor at bay. Am hoping it will continue to do so when hot, sweat-producing weather returns. It is slightly inconvenient to have a wet roll-on application, but this is a minor inconvenience in exchange for feeling that the product is less damaging to my health.

5I recently purchased the People’s Pharmacy MoM deodorant and am pleased so far. I had tried all other hypoallergenic deodorants but they all caused me serious irritation. The PP MoM deodorant has zero irritation and still seems to suppress any odor. My dermatologist thought MoM as a deodorant was a good idea since MoM absorbs moisture. If you have serious irritaiton problems from deodorants, this is worth a try. DJB

5I discovered this product when searching online for a natural deodorant. Since menopause, I have had an odd odor (similar to red onions–haha!) when I sweat and nothing has really helped, only added an additional “perfume” fragrance to the red onion smell. Not great.
So, going in, I was skeptical using the MoM deodorant. I tried to not set my expectations too high. Lo and behold, everything they said about it is TRUE.
This is the first deodorant I’ve used that has totally eliminated that odor. I tried going without it for a few days and the odor returned. It’s definitely the deodorant that is keeping it at bay.
I’m so pleased with it!! It has no fragrance, too, which is nice, so I can wear my regular perfume with no fears of incompatible scents clashing. It contains no harmful ingredients, dries quickly and does not stain my clothing. And do I need to point out how affordable it is, as well?
MoM has officially become my new deodorant; I will absolutely purchase again when this one runs out. Thank you for a product that is not only safe, but WORKS!

5I have used Milk of Magnesia right out of the bottle as a deodorant, but it is nice to have it in a roll-on container, much less messy! It works great, even when I am under stress and would tend to perspire more, I don’t notice any odor at all. Other over the counter aluminum free products did not work as well as this. Now all we need is a re-fillable roll-on container, since I am thrifty, that would be very welcome.

3I bought this for under-breast rash because it has no aluminum. Unfortunately, it has not worked for me. I had to apply a few times a day, which was OK. The only time the rash got better was overnight, but as soon as I put my bra back on it came back. So, thinking it was the material of the bra, I bought a cotton one (hard to find). It made no difference. So I have returned to using my Gold Bond Friction Defense and it has cleared up.

It is only under my right arm that nothing works. I have a sebaceous cyst that was excised years ago and returned. The doctor said just to put moist heat on it, and the swelling went down. However, I can still see the lump. I don’t know if that is what causes the problem or not. It is a problem that I don’t know what to do about. A surgeon maybe?

4This product is very effective. It goes on wet, and leaves a white, powdery residue on my skin, so I have not used it in the heat of summer when I wear sleeveless tops. I have used it on some hot fall days, though, and it’s kept me odor-free and actually dry, which I didn’t expect. Next summer, I plan to wear it, despite the whiteness, which I’m sure I can live with over aluminum!

Never a whiff of body odor. Yours is also thinner and I like that. It works very good. You don’t need heavy soap to wash your old deodorant out and it does not ruin your shirts with deodorant that turns hard and does not wash out.

5I love this product. The ingredient list is short. Especially when it is compared with the traditional deodorant you can buy from the supermarket. I feel I am exposed to fewer chemicals by using this product. It does leave a bit of a white residue on my clothing if I put it on before I put on my shirt. However, I have never used a deodorant that did not leave a white residue, even the ones that claimed not to. One bottle lasts a long time. I am glad I found this deodorant.

5Have tried many ‘safer’ products over over 6 decades and MOM has been my best find of all. I started using straight MoM out of a bottle and spreading underarms -hard to control amount that way but it worked until I found your product. I’m on my 4th bottle at this point and have not been disappointed. Only one afternoon in all that time had it lost a bit of its coverage -and that only a slight amount. I’m amazed at how long it lasts for me and I don’t have problems with stained clothing either. Once dry, I brush my hands lightly over the arm pits and the ‘loose particles’ which might coat clothes brushes away and what remains protects me for many hours. Your product is much more convenient than my old process but, I must agree with a few users who would prefer a bit better bargain. I buy when it’s on sale and buy ahead. Thank you for carrying this product.

5Several years ago, I was looking for an alternative, non-aluminum underarm deodorant online and found the suggestion to try using Milk of Magnesia. It worked like a charm, putting it on in the shower, slightly wiping it off, then drying. About a year ago, I found People’s Pharmacy, learned about MoM, and happily realized that this was the original website I found relating other peoples’ experiences of MoM. 5This is the only deodorant that I use after I discovered it (over a year ago). I love it! It works better than any other non-aluminum alternative that I have tried. I apply once per day in the morning, and it lasts all day. When I am sweating a lot (working out, doing yardwork, etc) I occasionally get some underarm odor, but much less than if I wasn’t wearing any deodorant. I can definitely tell a huge difference on a day I forget to put it on. It does leave a light white film, but I let it dry for a while before putting on clothes. If I do get a white mark on clothes, it wipes up easily with a damp washcloth. I am very happy with the product & easy application, and will keep buying it as long as they make it!

5I have tried many non-aluminum deodorants. This is the first one that works. It has worked during this very hot summer. Some of the reviews seem misguided. Deodorant does not stop someone from sweating. That is what anti- perspirants do. This deodorant stops the odor as it is supposed to. Yes, there is a white film but all you have to do is brush it off with your hand after you apply the deodorant and allow it to dry for a few minutes.

4I like the product but have added a swipe of white vinegar when I apply it to the underarms. The vinegar being acetic acid takes away much of the bacteria that causes the smelly persperation but still allows the body to perspire. Then I apply a bit of lavendar body oil so that I don’t smell like a salad. So far this works for me. If I only use the MOM, the deodorant effect does not last very long.

5I have used MOM off and on for a few years. It is not as strong as it needs to be for me as I perspire readily due to heat and emotions. I notice that odor still comes around. I have mentioned before that I put on the deodorant after dressing because I don’t want white spots on my clothing while it dries. The only issue I have is remembering that it doesn’t dry very fast because I sometimes get white marks on pull-over type shirts. 5This is hands down the best deodorant I have ever used. I stopped using anti-perspirant years ago due to aluminum, and deodorant always barely kept sweating at bay, and often failed completely. Since I started using this one I have never had a problem with odor. My son (early twenties) loves it as well. The icing on the cake is that it contains magnesium, which is actually healthy for a number of reasons. So instead of feeling like you are making a compromise by using deodorant, you can feel good about it.

5I had given up finding a product that was safe and healthy and non-stinky enough for me. (I can not stand the added fragrances in mosts products!) But as my parents aged, and my life got more stressful, it was clear I could not do without a deodorant any longer! Was thrilled to find this very effective magnesium product. At first I thought it might be too wet for me – but it dries really fast and does not get on anything. If I get too wild while applying in a hurry, and see a bit of white on my tank top edge, I just wet a cloth and it wipes off completely in a second. This only happens when I’m really rushing and cover too large an area unnecessarily!

4Decided to try this aluminum free product and I love it. It keeps me odor free for much more than 24 hours. It is fragrance free, so it does not interfere with any body moisturizer or perfume I might use. Since it is a roll-on, I have learned to put it on a few minutes before I put on my clothing so it has fully dried before dressing. I am very satisfied that MoM is doing what it claims to do.

5I’m a guy using this obviously made-for-gals product, mostly to avoid exposure to aluminum. Works very well as a deodorant, but after many years of using antiperspirants, it’s a little hard getting used to wetness again. At over twice the price of off-the-shelf deodorants, I wish there were a way to get the price down, either by selling the stuff in a larger container and applying manually somehow, or make the rollerball thing refillable. A guy-type scent would be welcome, also, but in spite of these failings, it still gets 5 stars.

4I got tired of getting my hands dirty putting on plain old liquid milk of magnesia. This is an easy roll on and keeps my fresh all day and even for two or three days.
I have the female scented but its subtle enough that I can get away with it as a guy.

4I first started using MOM last year and thought it was just what I was looking for. As time goes on, I find it does not work as good for me as it first did. I get bad odor under my right arm and was gone for awhile and has come back to a smaller degree. This seems to happen only during the summer months. Lately at night, I find when I wake up, my armpits are very sticky (I’m a morning showerer). I will continue to use MOM as I think it is better for my overall health.

5Although the jury may be out on whether aluminum (in deodorants) contributes to breast cancer, why risk it? My sister has it and this Christmas I gave everyone in the family and my girlfriends this WONDERFUL deodorant (MoM) from People’s Pharmacy. It keeps me drier than other products, goes on smoothly, pleasant scent and I think I’m making a positive difference in what is getting absorbed underarm, especially when pores are open after a shower and shaving. It was just a no-brainer decision. If you could do one thing that was simple, effective and might lessen the chance for you, or a loved one, getting breast cancer, what could it hurt to try? I feel better for having made this switch (placebo or not) and at least for trying to inform others of the option by providing them with a sample.

1It did work well, except: about a week after I started using MoM I developed small lumps in my arm pits. I stopped using MoM but the lumps wouldn’t go away, they even started turning a dark color. I went to a dermatologist who did a culture which showed I had an infection (presumably from blocked sweat glands). After 15 days of an antibiotic treatment the lumps cleared up. PP refunded the price of the MoM.

4I used MOM in the winter with a previous purchase and thought it was very effective, so this summer I thought I’d give it a try with the hope that it would work in the hot, humid weather. 5Living in Houston, and being of menopausal age, I sweat a lot. I have been trying to avoid deodorants with aluminum, but I find that non-aluminum deodorants don’t do a great job of getting rid of odor. This deodorant really does do a good job in that regard. I’m so happy to have finally found something without aluminum that really works! My only caveat is that like many aluminum containing deodorants, this will leave a white mark on dark clothing if you don’t let it dry before putting on your t-shirt. So be patient and let it dry.

3I was really looking forward to this product. However I gave one to a friend and tried it for me too. When it is hot out and I work in the garden, not only do I sweat, (which one should) but there is arm pit odor. My friend flies a lot and she did not want to use it for the same reason. I see that others say there is no odor. I have not had odor problems before so am disappointed. Also made a mistake and ended up getting 8 because I double ordered.
I do try to use this when having a lazy day, still some issues.

4As a former Critical Care RN, who became disabled nearly 13 years ago due to the unpublished adverse effects of Statin drugs…I have become more astutely educated and aware of the potential toxicities of many of the pharma wonder drugs and substances allowed in our foods and drugs. The EPA states the following about Aluminum: ” Toxicity information about aluminum is generally lacking. It has been determined that fish tend to be more sensitive to aluminum toxicity than aquatic invertebrates (Sparling et al. 1997). Aluminum can cause pulmonary and developmental problems. Aluminum toxicity has been linked to soil pH–the amount of soluble aluminum, rather than the total aluminum concentration in the soil. Soils at a site with a pH greater than 5.5 can generally be considered non-toxic in terms of aluminum” If its toxic to animals, it must not be good for people. I became an avid reader of the Peoples Pharmacy website and the plethora of information provided, as I do with political ads, I fact check everything I read on the Peoples Pharmacy pages. I learned they make a Deodorant made with Milk of Magnesia…containing Magnesium Hydroxide, I decided to give it a try as many people are deficient in Magnesium, to my surprise, it works! And works well to keep underarm odor at bay. I apply it after every shower, and have found it works very well. In the event I choose not to shower every day, I re-apply the MoM deodorant and it keeps my underarms from getting too funky. The only drawback I have found, is it can be a bit messy if you put a shirt on too soon after applying the MoM. Problem solved by waiting a few minutes after applying, I highly recommend the Peoples Pharmacy MoM deodorant to all my friends and family,

4I love this product. There is no doubt that it works and it works very well. I experience no odor when wearing this deodorant, even in the sweltering heat of Sub-Saharan Africa. My only complaint, which seems a little bit trite given that the product works so well, is that it leaves a film under my arms which sometimes gets on my shirts and blouses. While traveling in rural Sub-Saharan African, that was not much of an issue, but now that I am in a city, I don’t love having this film appear on my underarms when I wear tank top or to always have to check my clothes after I put them on, just to be sure that I haven’t accidentally rubbed the fabric against the outer part of my clothes.
Other than this minor complaint, I absolutely love MoM Roll-On Deodorant. I would not have any doubts about buying another roll if there was a clear formula or another version of the deodorant that does not leave residue.
The only reason that I haven’t given this product 5 stars is the white film on the clothes and in the underarms :(

5I have been subscribing to People’s Pharmacy for many years, and have found many home remedies that I will always use (to name two, gin-soaked raisins for arthritis and teat tree oil for toenail fungus). When MOM was first advertised, it brought to mind how much I worried about aluminum in these products, and thought it was worth trying. I was very surprised that the odor was kept under control (I used an “extra strength” product before). 5I have tried just about every deodorant there is to mask my underarm odor and some work for a short while. I have been using MOM for a few weeks now and to my surprise it works. I give my underarms a few sniffs throughout the day and there’s no odor. I pray that it will continue to work for me because having stinky underarms has made me self conscious about being to close to people and it limits things that will cause me to sweat. Hopefully my self conscious days are now behind me. I will say this, the very first time I put on MOM it burned but it’s getting better so if you have sensitive skin beware. Also, use a hair dryer to dry it faster.

5MOM is the only deodorant I can use that doesn’t eventually cause itching. It takes a few minutes to dry, but a hair dryer speeds that up. If you don’t use one for a few months, it can take a few minutes to get the roller ball moistened again. I like very much that there’s no scent. It works on me for 12 to 18 hours, even on hot days. I’m very pleased with it.

Dries quickly. My only problem is that when the shipping cost is added, it is a lot for my budget. I try to buy it on sale whenever possible. It would be great if you could sell it in local drug stores or Walmart, etc.

5I have taken good care of myself for decades but knew I had a chance of contracting breast cancer since it runs in the family. After my diagnosis in 2009 I thought to suspend using aluminum based deodorants. Tom’s of Maine works well for my husband. However, it didn’t work for me. Fast forward to 2015. I ordered MOM from your website and must thank you so much. It works with no irritation to my sensitive and psoriatic skin. Plus there is no over-laying scent from the product or from me. 5MOM un scented works great! It’s also packaged in containers under the TSA fluid restriction and is 2 oz. Once I apply it I have to wait to let it dry before putting a shirt on because it will smudge white onto your clothes. But it does dry fairly quickly and it is quite effective in our hot humid climate for one to two days, but that’s all. Not sure if I worked out all day in the heat, it might fail.
But for regular day to day activities, it’s quite effective. I prefer the un scented so that I don’t attract bees and mosquitoes when I’m outside.

5So far I would say the MoM roll-on seems to be at least as effective as, and I think actually more effective than, “regular” deodorants, “crystal” deodorants, or the rubbing alcohol I switched to using awhile ago to get away from the still aluminum containing “crystal” deodorants, which I had switched to using to get away from the aluminum containing “regular” deodorants! The MoM does leave some white residue on your skin, but not too bad and not as bad as most “regular” deodorants do.

4This is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so it might not keep you dry but it will probably keep you from having BO–and it lasts about a day. It works better for me than any other aluminum-free product I’ve used. My only issue with it is that I have to blow dry it.

5It’s rare these days for a product to do what it says it will. And for me, it’s done exactly that. Best aluminum/zirconium-free deodorant I’ve ever used. Much more effective than any other “natural” deodorant or antiperspirant I’ve used. And I’ve used many. As an exercise physiologist I think it’s important to remember that this is a product category that is designed to affect perspiration, a body process subject to an individual’s biochemistry. Every person’s chemistry is a bit different. That is what explains why it works to varying degrees for many, but not at all for some. It’s also worth noting that I would not expect any deodorant or antiperspirant to work it’s best during periods of prolonged and/or intense physical activity or exercise, especially in the heat. That is why most will choose to shower and re-apply afterwards.

1I have had a really hard time finding a deodorant that keeps me from smelling. I thought I would try your product from reading the reviews. It did not work so great for me. I was golfing and started smelling and from experience knew I should bring deodorant with me, so I brought my MOM deodorant and put it on half way through my game and by the time I was done, I didn’t even want to lift my arms. I was so disappointed in this deodorant! I also bought 2 thinking this was going to be a good one and to save on shipping costs. 5It’s safe and it works much better than other types of alternative deodorants I’ve tried. Lasts all day, too. The only thing is- I have found it useful to dry it with a hair dryer if I’m in a hurry to dress, otherwise it gets white all over the inside of my clothing. (The white comes off easily and doesn’t stain anything, though.) It takes more than a few minutes to dry by itself. But it really works and it doesn’t have any creepy ingredients so I highly recommend it.

5I have used MoM since it become available and is the only deodorant I use. Prior to MoM Deodorant I experienced a reaction to almost all deodorants. My dermatologist recommended many other “hypoallergenic ” types but none worked as well as MoM. My husband has never used any deodorant containing aluminum (anti-perspirant) since it was introduced in deodorants in the sixties. He learned it worked by blocking the underarm pores from perspiring and believes blocking the pores is not conducive to the body’s cooling system design and that the perspiration should be permitted to occur and then use a product to control the odor, if necessary. Additionally, my husband and I attempt to eliminate all forms of known aluminum from use since we suspect it to be detrimental to the human body when used or consumed daily. I know, without question, it causes a reaction under my arms and MoM deodorant is the only product I use that will eliminate the condition. Thank you for developing and offering the product! 5My husband and I like this deodorant very much. Neither of us like scented things, and this doesn’t smell. It doesn’t irritate (my husband can have trouble with soaps, etc.), it is very effective. I don’t sweat much so use less than he does, but he only puts it on after showering. We like the lack of aluminum for sure. 5My wife and I have been using MOM for several years and it works better than any natural deodorant we’ve ever used. We did try milk of magnesia from the bottle which does work, but takes time to apply and is messy, and has additives that we don’t want to absorb daily, so your product is pure and great. Our only quibble is that we wish it were a bit cheaper as it is one of the most expensive natural deodorants out there.

4After trying several “natural”and non-aluminum deodorants from the grocery store I was frustrated because they just did not work for me. Frankly, I stank at the end of the day – or worse – in the middle of the day. I decided to give the MoM a try. Although I have never been a fan of roll ons this is totally worth the wait of letting it dry. IT WORKS. I have no body odor, very important to me since I exercise almost every day with different groups of people and while we get very sweaty, I do not ever smell stinky since I’ve been using People’s MoM deodorant. 4I am very pleased with this deodorant–it seems to work very well, but I haven’t tried it in very hot weather yet. The only thing I wish is that it was a little thicker or like a gel so it would dry faster.

5I’ve been using unflavored milk of magnesia straight out of the bottle on a daily basis for several years, applying it either by using a cosmetic blush brush or just pouring it onto my hand and wiping it on. MoMag has worked well for me even while playing golf during hot, humid summers in Houston and central Florida. 5I had a lot of heat rash underneath my breast, it works so well on my underarms I decided to try it underneath my breast. Especially if your large breasted. This works to keep it dried . I’m 70 and never had a product that worked for this. Cornstarch works for awhile but is soooo messy. I give this product an A plus.

5I had developed an underarm odor using non aluminum deodorants. I tried almost every brand of deodorant in our health food stores and continued to have an odor. I read in our paper about the success of Milk of Magnesium on underarm smell and read up about the People’s Pharmacy MOM Deodorant. I finally bought the regular MOM and absolutely could not believe my nose…It worked! No smell and I even woke up without a smell. I had to buy the women’s MOM Deodorant because the regular brand was “out of stock”. I love it. The smell is not overpowering and it works just as well. I am post menopausal, but still have slight night sweats. I can not believe that using the product in the morning continues into the night but it does for me. I have put my husband on it as he is a sweat hog and has a family history of Alzheimer’s. Only Antiperspirants had worked for him in the past, but this product has worked for him. I would recommend this product for everyone. This is the only deodorant that I will use from now on. It works!

5After being diagnosed with Diabetes-2, my skin began to change and deodorants and antiperspirants burnt my underarms badly. Spent a lot of money trying to find one that wouldn’t irritate. Then I found MOM and it is the answer to my prayers! I have no problem with my skin now, nor with length of drying time. I have been using MOM deodorant offered by People’s Pharmacy for about 5 years. Early on there was a problem with the roller ball and almost gave up on it until I saw your message that roller ball problems had been solved. 5I like the protection MOM provides as it is sufficient for my everyday activity. I would enjoy less moisture but am willing to “deal” to avoid aluminum. Also wish it weren’t visible after drying but the advantages far out weigh the disadvantages. I think it’s a great alternative to deodorants containing aluminum.

5I was very skeptical when my sister-in-law told me about MoM roll-on, because I’d always relied on “extra-strength” anti-perspirants for most of my adult life. I was a medical/surgical technician, so I was always very close to my patients, & just the thought of having even the slightest body odor made me cringe, (in my opinion, there aren’t many more repulsive smells than BO…it’s right up there at the top of the list with skunk, dirty diapers & rotting meat!) After my Mother-in-Law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease I kept thinking about all the reports I’d read about aluminum being a possible suspect in the cause of this devastating affliction, (even though “Big Pharma” & aluminum cooking-pot makers, among others, vehemently denied it), I knew that I had to give it a try…just to prove that it wouldn’t work for me. Boy, was I wrong!!!
I started using this miraculous MoM deodorant about 6-8 months ago. After the first use I kept waiting to get a whiff of my nasty, underarm smell…and I waited…and waited…and waited, but the end of the day came, & I still smelled like a rose! Thinking it was a fluke, I decided to give MoM a run for it’s money, so I did all my normal activities, PLUS, I did a few hours of gardening…I did 2 loads of laundry, (that required climbing 2 flights of stairs each time)…I cooked dinner & did the dishes. When I was finally done for the day, I sat on the couch to have a root beer before going to get my shower. I was talking to my hubby when I suddenly remembered my “experiment”. Since I didn’t want to sniff my armpits while he was watching, (& give him more evidence for my possible sanity hearing..LOL), so I went up to the bathroom to get my shower. Despite the fact that I had a very busy day that included lots of physical activities, my armpits were odor-free!!! I was absolutely amazed, because I truly expected MoM to be ineffective in controlling body odor, but I had my odor-free armpits to prove that MoM is THE BEST deodorant I’ve ever used!
I kept telling my hubby how great it was & told him that since it’s HIS Mom who’s suffering with Alzheimer’s, he should at least give MoM a try, just in case it’s proven somewhere down the road that aluminum IS implicated. When I placed my first order, I ordered the scented MoM for me & the unscented…just in case it worked, so I could have one for him. Well, he tried it, & now we’re BOTH odor-free, thanks to MoM deodorant!!! I’m so grateful for this amazing product, because it’s not only a great, effective deodorant, it’s also given us peace of mind because we aren’t poisoning our bodies with aluminum. Thank you, People’s Pharmacy!
P.S. If I may make some suggestions, it would be great to have a better scent, (I use “Kiss My Face” body products, & they have wonderfully, subtle scents, with the best one being “Peaceful Patchouli”. I think it would be a nice addition, or maybe a baby powder or soft rose scent. Also, I’d love to have a stick form, or maybe a gel, as sometimes the roll-on MoM is drippy. Just suggestions, but whatever you do, KEEP MAKING MoM DEODORANT FOREVER!!!!

5I’ve used M of M for years- in a spray bottle. My armpits had been itching- no matter what brand of deodorant that I used. I finally figured out that I was allergic to aluminum, and no one needs to douse themselves with aluminum every day anyway. I poured M of M into a spray bottle and applied. 4MoM does keep me dry. As with all roll-on products, it goes on wet. I use it at night, so I don’t have to wait for it to dry before dressing in the mornings. I miss the antiperspirant property, but it is worth the sacrifice to have a deodorant without aluminum.

It is not an antiperspirant, so you may have some wetness during periods of exertion or nervousness, but it will keep the odor away. 5At last! My naturopathic doctor told me to use rubbing alcohol into my armpits (40 rubs per pit) to stop underarm odor. For years I did this until I found People’s Pharmacy & M O M. M O M works! 5I first used the scent free about 2 years ago. I started with two containers. It worked so well the when I needed more, I ordered 3 or 4 the next time. It doesn’t stop perspiration but there is no odor from the sweat. Another point that I discovered there was no staining on my undershirts or Ts. Today I’m only discarding under shirts when they become threadbare rather than because the underarm areas are stained an crusty. With the old Al based deodorants I would have periodic underarm rashes and itching. That has never occurred after I started using MOM.
PS – I use the non-scented since I don’t care for the scents generally used.

4Used it for a year. It works under normal circumstances, such as working at the office or light housework at home. I have found that if a lot of physical activity is involved, or it is hot, that it does not work as well as conventional deodorant. If I have to go somewhere that it absolutely can’t fail, I used conventional deodorant. I’ll continue to use it, but do keep the “regular” on hand for certain times.

5I have found this product (actually the Pink labeled one for women) to be the most amazing product I’ve ever used!
I have suffered for years with sweating under my breasts and in the groin area. I was using products with antibiotics in them (prescriptions) but my skin became so thin I had to stop using.
I tried MoM, and it’s amazing! It smells very nice and keeps me from breaking out into a burning rash. It would get quite severe, but since I began using MoM, I’ve had very good success and LOVE it!

4I purchased this after a mammogram result that meant I needed something removed. Not cancerous, but the doctors suggested I do what I could to minimize risks. Since aluminum compounds may (or may not) be connected with both breast cancer risks as well Alzheimer’s I figured it couldn’t hurt to try this. In my experience, it is not fragrance free (or at least, not on me). It also is NOT an antiperspirant. So, I was a little taken aback at wetness after decades of deodorant/antiperspirant use. It goes on wet, which takes a bit of time to dry – I try to remember to put it on earlier than I used to in my morning routine or else I “flap” my arms (must look very odd when this occurs!) but eventually it does dry and I can get dressed. For now, I will stick with this product. I miss the dryness of prior products, but I think the trade off is worthy.

4In the past, I’ve tried at least five different “natural” aluminum free deodorants, with disappointing results. They were all too weak. This will be my second re-order of the Mom product. I’m very pleased with the performance and have recommended it to several women. I sweat a lot at our gym three times a week, but do not suffer the embarrassing odor that I did with the other brands. My only criticism is that I have to dry my underarms with the hair dryer after application, otherwise the roll-on rubs off on my clothes, leaving me unprotected. That takes less than one minute and is well worth the time. The Mom is a life saver!

1My problem with this product is the packaging. Roll-ons are messy, you have to wait for it to dry and it’s way to easy to apply it unevenly. I’d be glad to try it again if it came in a solid but for now I’m using something else.

5I have always suffered with bad underarm odor. I tried this deodorant and it really does work. I can go all day without going to the bathroom to wash and re- apply a deodorant. I am going to take 6 bottles back with me to the UK. If you are worried about the rubbing off on your cloths, wait until it dries before dressing. Great product.
