Heartburn

I started taking antacids as a teenager, more than 50 years ago. When prescription drugs came out, I was delighted. I have taken everything from Tagamet to Nexium. I read about eating almonds with meals. I tried it and was astounded at how effective it was.

On my first try, I went for 8 days without Nexium. I would eat 2 or 3 almonds before meals. Now I need Nexium only rarely.

High Cholesterol

My doctor wanted me to take medication to lower my blood lipids, especially high triglycerides that run in my family. He and I both figured that since I am a vegetarian I wouldn’t be able to lower it any further with diet, but we were wrong! I followed your advice, cut down on a lot of carbs and added some good fats, especially avocado, olive oil, and flax seed. I also stepped up my exercise and lost about 11 pounds this summer.

Here are the results: My triglycerides went from 298 to 48. My cholesterol went from 208 to 158. HDL went from 41 to 55. LDL went from 119 to 96 and fasting blood glucose from 91 to 82. I had the blood test done at my doctor’s office. He was amazed and I am pretty happy.

Knee Pain

I was having difficulty bending my right leg enough to put on my sock. I climbed steps like a three year old, one step at a time. I had to use my arms to get up from sitting.

In desperation, I decided to try your home remedy of grape juice with Certo. I planned to give it a month. Within three days I was putting on my socks with no difficulty. Yesterday (less than a month since I began), I found myself going up stairs like an adult. I understand that nobody knows how this works, and I am a skeptic, but it works for me!
