Children are being encouraged to specialize in just one or two sports at increasingly early ages. Does this concentration on early athletic achievement pose hazards of injury?

The doctor discussed bromiliaids for inflammation relief instead of NSAID but I can't find information on it - only plants come up on the Internet. Please send info.

PEOPLE'S PHARMACY RESPONSE: THE NATUROPATH WHO CALLED IN RECOMMENDED BROMELAIN, AN ENZYME DERIVED FROM PINEAPPLE.

One of your callers wanted to know about how to reduce fatigue related to his exercise program. Your guest suggested cutting back his program. In my own experience, in addition to stretching & massage, electrolyte drinks like Gatoraide, and quinine sources (maybe 1/2 cup) of tonic water before and after working out drastically reduced muscle cramps and fatigue. Proper hydration all day the next day is also key. Hope this helps!

One of the best exercises is biking. It's good for knees, diet, heart and is good on the pocketbook. I'm 74 and have been riding for over 50 years. I put on over 11,000 miles in the last 7 years. I live in a senior community and some of my friends have gone from California to South Carolina (some more than once).
We go on cross state rides like Bike Florida. We have fun and stay in shape. Why don't you have a guest from America Wheelman.
