Hi! It's me again ... I enjoyed your piece by Dr. Ariely this morning ... but are you aware that Dori Berger and I, in our book, "The Music Effect: Music Physiology and Clinical Applications" (which you were kind enough to feature in Program 600) actually address the physiologic basis for such "predictable irrationality?" It has to do with how information tracks through the brain ... amygdala-driven in "irrational" behavior, and hippocampus-driven in "rational behavior." Might be a good topic for a future program: "How does information track through the brain?" I have written several published articles on this topic.
Best regards to my friends at The People's Pharmacy.
Dr. "Dan"

I checked Amazon for the Retrocell phone that Joe mentioned. Perhaps I'm spelling it wrong or do not have the complete name. I am very interested in purchasing the device.

PEOPLE'S PHARMACY ANSWER:
The phone is:

Novophone Retro Cell Phone Handset, 2.5mm Jack by Novophone $29.97 at amazon

Sorry I didn't catch the name of the item Dr. Sadetski mentioned that plugs into a cell phone. She said it was about $20 at Amazon but I had no luck. Sounds like Noraphone?

PEOPLE'S PHARMACY ANSWER:

Actually, it was Joe who mentioned that the handset he loves to plug into his cell phone is:

Novophone-Retro-Phone Handset. It is available at Amazon for about $30.
