Omega-3 Fatty Acids May Delay Macular Degeneration

Omega-3 fatty acids may help delay age-related macular degeneration. This is a major cause of blindness in older people. Nearly 3,000 subjects were recruited for the Age Related Eye Disease Study. Those who consumed more omega-3 fatty acids had less progression of the disease.
