The World Health Organization is almost ready to pull the trigger on a swine flu vaccine. Because it takes so long to develop a new flu shot, the public health experts have requested concerted action from vaccine makers. Scientists are selecting the fastest growing strain of H1N1 swine flu to use in making the shot starting in mid-summer.
They also have to look into their crystal balls to try and determine which seasonal flu viruses will be dominant next winter. If swine flu turns out to be the biggest threat, companies may need to focus exclusively on that vaccine. Even if everyone goes full tilt, it will likely take till October or November before new vaccines will be ready for an anxious worldwide public.

What really concerns me is that now we are lead to believe that we have to have a flu shot every year... I question the safety of this since we do not know what these shots are creating in our bodies long term! Someone needs to be the voice of caution on this, before we end up creating a health nightmare!!!

Even though I am not fond of vaccines, It may be good idea to make one for this one. However, whenever there is investment, there is risk, and the question of ROI.
