ANDROGEL GEL PUMP
Has anyone else had a coughing problem from this medication?
My husband started using ANDROGEL GEL PUMP 1% 75 GM, 12.5 MG medication and from the start I started to cough and constant need to clear my throat. Initially, I went on antibiotics, thinking I had a terrible sinus drainage problem that caused the coughing and throat issue. I isolated the coughing down to his medication. He puts his medication on before he goes to work and upon his arrival home I start to cough almost instantly. He started taking showers, thinking that this would help with the coughing; however the showering made it worse. I also cough from Lysol aerosol spray.
I started on Androgel 5gm pack three weeks ago. I can not believe how I feel human again. I am a 56 yr old male who felt life was pretty much over.
I had all the symptoms of a hypoactive thyroid (this runs in family) however, thyroid tests were normal. Dr. tested my total and free testosterone and it came back at 120 with a normal being 350.
I have more energy, exercise for the first time in years and sleep like a baby. The expected positive sexual benefits have not been realized as of yet, however, I am very pleased with what I have gained as of now.
