My mother is 90 yrs old, and has problem with urinary frequency. She is mentally and physically active during the day, so needs to take if for daytime activities. She has been on Vesicare 5mg once a.m. daily for years. However, in the past year due to almost hourly nighttime bathroom visits - she gets very little sleep - which makes her exhausted during the day, even tho she takes cat naps. Dr. prescribed her taking it twice daily per my suggestion (one in a.m., and one in p.m.). BUT I just read in Vesicare instructions pamphlet that Vesicare is NOT to be taken twice in the same day.
Since she just recently started on the nighttime dose, and is getting the deeply needed sleep - is there a danger? Thank you for any help you can offer, as I may be reaching this same situation in the near future.
