Sular is used to lower blood pressure. It is an extended-release form of a calcium channel blocker.

When dose was raised to an effective level, my heart rate went up to 120-pounding madly. Called Rn working with nephrologist who said that was impossible and that if I went off the med she would arrange for my discharge. RN would try to get me appointment in a week or so. I stopped the med and heart rate returned to normal. I was discharged by the nephrologist with no referral for follow up care.
