Last January my AARP pharmacy insurance refused to honor Levexol 88mcg and switched me to Levothyroxine. Since then I have been experiencing tingling in my legs. I have been to my GP and after blood work and physical tests it was not blocked arteries. She up me from 88 to 100mcg. Its been 8 weeks and a new blood test reveal my T's came up but 100mcg is to much. My blood pressure is getting high and now I am experiencing blurred vision every few minutes. Saw my eye doctor and he said my eyes are very good, but he took my blood pressure and listen to my heart. He thought, my eyes were not receiving a good signal from my brain. My pharmacist suggested going back to Levexol. I had the usual complaints with Levexol, bad nails, couldn't lose weight, low libido, etc, but minor compared to now. My blood pressure then was in normal range then, I follow a low fat diet, and do water exercises three time a week, but since January my blood pressure was going higher. My Endocrinologist says blood work is fine, never listen to my complaints and just wanted to put me on blood pressure medicine. Does Lovothyroxine and Levexol increase blood pressure?
