RE: Dec 2010 newspaper column Dandruff Shampoo ..eyelids.. blepharitis
Like the writer mentioned: I had all the same problems with red eyelids, and blepharitis. I also have Rosacea and overactive glands around the eyes.
Also, sticky goo around the eyelids and tear ducts was a continuous problem for me. I did all the standard treatments per doctors' orders and one trial treatment for a medical study. Nothing really helped that much... until my doc prescribed Restasis for another problem--painful dry eyes. In about 2 days, the sticky goo stopped and the eyelids were not so red or had the unsightly debris. Restasis has solved my chronic eyelid problem as well as helping with dry eyes. I have used it for about a month and plan to continue indefinitely if the doc approves.
