I have occasional but very intense headaches. I believe they are consistent with migraines. They do seem to occur around events that cause me a lot of tension. Because they are very infrequent (luckily) I do not have a regular prescription to treat them. One doctor years ago gave me several different samples of drugs to try. By far, the most effective drug I received was Skelaxin.
I don't remember the dosage but two pills completely knocked me out for awhile. I cut it back to one and that was effective in reliving the intensity of the pain.
