It works every time, this is a remedy among chinese.

I

While having dinner guests, I accidentally touched the heat elements of my electric oven and rather than scream, I quietly got the bottle of soy sauce and sprinkled some on the burned fingers. I continued on w/ dinner, (putting on more soy sauce) a few more times. First, I never had pain after the first application, and I never even got any blisters.

Grabbed a very large, very hot curling iron by the barrel. Immediately, all 4 fingertips and palm directly under the fingers started to swell. The pain was incredible. Remembered your advice about soy sauce and poured a quantity into a pie plate, immersed my hand, and the pain ceased! At first, it looked as if all areas would form blisters, but after additional soakings (at the first sign of discomfort) over the next 4 hours, there was no further discomfort. Now, a week later, there is no evidence of injury at all. This is just amazing!

I burned my thumb and middle finger on a flat iron. I ran cold water over the burns and wasn't getting much relief. I remembered reading in your column to pour soy sauce over the burns.

I also poured soy sauce on a paper towel and held it to my fingers for about 15 minutes. The pain gradually went away. Two hours after the burn there was hardly any pain. Today there is no pain... I can clearly see on my fingers where the plates burned my fingers. I will use this remedy from now on.

Amazing how well this works. Was removing toast from toaster oven and my finger touched the rack. Remembering hearing you on Charlotte Talks about soy sauce on burns.. so I tried it... within a minute of application the pain was reduced and went away within 15 minutes.

Alright, so I just burned the be-Jesus outta my hand picking up a hot coffee pot at work (some IDIOT neglected to turn the burner off during a 3-day weekend!!)

Rummaged through my desk, found some packets of left-over soy sauce and dumped it on my fingers.

Absolutely amazing! matter of fact, missed a spot on my pinky so it still hurt -- put some soy on the pinky and viola! no mo pain!

I had grabbed the handle of a pan I had just taken out of the oven. I called to my husband, get the Sunday paper and look for the article that said what to use on a burn (I remembered the article, but didn't remember the remedy!) I put the soy on the palm of my hand and couldn't believe it. I had no pain, no blistering. Amazing.
