Because I was always unusually tired, my endocrinologist thought I might benefit from a larger dose of Vit. D than the 500 units that I was taking daily in Centrum Silver. He gave me an rx for 50,00 units to be taken:
1 cap every week for 8 wks.
Then every 2 wks for 8 wks.
Then monthly. When I finished the month, I took no more BUT I was indeed less tired than before taking this rx. Hearing Dr. Joan Lappe, I feel I should now continue taking 50,00 units on a monthly basis and it will not hurt me. I probably could take more!
Thank you very much for this interview.
